BISSO's purpose is

  • To promote health by providing individuals with acquired brain injuries and mental health disorders with neuropsychiatric-neuro-sychological-behavioural assessments and treatment, group support programs and access to related information.
     

  • To enable the best recovery possible from their acquired brain injury.
     

  • To educate and raise public awareness of acquired brain injuries and mental health disorders through community presentations and meetings.

SERVICES

BISSO offers

  • Opportunities to socialize over coffee with others who have a brain injury.

  • A chance to meet patients already involved in group medical visits from 11:00 to 1:00

  • Peer Mentoring: Peer support groups and one-on-one peer support for acquired brain injury patients and their families.

  • Psycho-educational/medical classes for brain injured patients led by medical professionals.

 

The society is open on Fridays from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at
