BISSO's purpose is
To promote health by providing individuals with acquired brain injuries and mental health disorders with neuropsychiatric-neuro-sychological-behavioural assessments and treatment, group support programs and access to related information.
To enable the best recovery possible from their acquired brain injury.
To educate and raise public awareness of acquired brain injuries and mental health disorders through community presentations and meetings.
Opportunities to socialize over coffee with others who have a brain injury.
A chance to meet patients already involved in group medical visits from 11:00 to 1:00
Peer Mentoring: Peer support groups and one-on-one peer support for acquired brain injury patients and their families.
Psycho-educational/medical classes for brain injured patients led by medical professionals.
The society is open on Fridays from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at
